How many of you have gotten rid of your tv?!
Question: I still live at home but I'm just thinking of not getting one at all when I move out, so no tv, no cable. I can watch movies on my computer if I watn to. TV is just a time sucking machine to me.

You are the first person i have ever come across who doesn't watch TV. I feel the same way, I hate it! Can't remember the last time i put it on, maybe just to have some noise so i could fall asleep. I do everything on the PC. One day they will probably be extinct.

I can't, My husband works in telecommunications & installs cable, satellite & carries a mini TV in his work truck as a must for the job. I personally could not give up Lost, House or Desperate housewives. I am also an ABC soap addict as well as the British soap, Eastenders. Home all day with kidney stones....... nope..not a chance...sorry. lol
I can't see getting rid of any of my TVs. It's the only way I can fall asleep.

Yes, ITS 85% krap! I had the cable ( $35.00 per month) shut off-again. A waste of time and money. And addicting.
TV is a time waste and its one way input, you cant change what others put up there, or interact, you just let it feed your mind.
Yet, I watch another TV in another room when something is of interest like sports, but i dont stay on the TV and commercial means to me time to move along, and come back and check the ball game score later or check it off the computer.
I like the ministry of Joyce Meyers, she has been through it and tells it like it is... she is worth having a TV for if you dont get addicted to the other stuff, I enjoy nature channel some too and at times some of American Idol, sorry cry baby Danny is gone, the emotions were fine, just know how to take criticism especially from meany Simon lol awww I voted to get him back on, and he has over 48% of the votes to date! and the Asian girl too she got booted a week ago, I think they like each other hehe.
faith is still the key and its a long story so if you will just get a laugh and a jewel and stay cool, TVless=and faith keeps me higher than any liquor ever did by the ears or any other part of me, it did make me deaf to the truth

I have the same problems with fornicators and homosexuals that chose to go against God as Romans 1 says by unthankfulness and worshiping the created instead of the creator. Is the next step marriage? no... and yet if you can go against God and marriage why not marriage to a chicken? or a rino, or a crow? LOL lighten up and let it move you to remember "The only thing you need to do to let evil win is nothing."
while rejecting Romans 1:16 not ashamed of the gospel to share it will all mankind, the good news of Jesus salvation, if he isnt God then he cant come into our heart as he says he can and become our savior and best friend.

proof of my Jewish peoples errors, is found in their rejection of the virgin birth as promised in Isaiah 7:14 "A young maiden VIRGIN/Alma from the Hebrew, will bring forth a sign/miracle and have the baby God is with us/emanuel from the Hebrew."
the claim is that it should have been the word 'bethulah' to be a virgin. Yet, Alma in every case is a virgin, and Joel 1:9 proves a bethulah can be a woman living as a virgin but isnt a virgin "Lament like a virgin/bethula for the husband of her youth."
further proofs, as the New testament states about Jesus
"The Jewish leaders paid to say that Jesus was stolen from his grave and protected the guards from prosecution."
yet, the fact that his grave wrapping linen which was done before putting a person into a tomb, were found there still treated and wrapped together. The fact is when Jesus rose from the grave after the cross, he stepped out of the wrapped linen, leaving them in tact.
Jewish people did this because of the prophecies that the Messiah would die for our sins, found in Isaiah chapters 52 and 53. He will be exaulted but first marred more than any man, he will lay down his life as a lamb to make atonement/forgiveness for our sins.

Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away but my word will never pass away. He stated this in the same chapter as he told about his return to earth in the clouds to take away the believers in him= followers of the Messiah/ from the Greek word Cristos/Messiah/the annointed one. Mark 13:31 and the entire chapter.
Why do my Jewish people reject the Messiah? the same reason others reject his birthday and Easter too "He will be despised and rejected, a man of sorrows and we will as it were hide our face from him." Isaiah 53: beginning 3 verses describes Jesus and shows this the rest of the chapter proves it, "He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich." "He will see his seed and prosper." Are you the spiritual seed of the Messiah Jesus, or are you spiritually apart from the Messiah?
Mohamad said Messiah Jesus was without sin, well he didnt marry a 9 year old little girl Aisha, he didnt tell others to an angel told him to write it too, He didnt tell them not to celebrate his birthday which marks the calendar of mankind to 2008 years after his birth.
An example of this rejection of the Messiah Jesus is rejecting his own Birthday. is the celebration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)'s birthday .. a clear bid'ah and still widely celebrated .. as a counter celebration to Christmas.

Behold I stand at your heart door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into that one and sup/fellowship/be their friend, with them and they with me."
So I prayed, "Messiah Jesus help me, I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart, and be my friend, amen."
and the Messiah Jesus became my best friend from that day, and my savior and life is wonderful, to care and truely love others and know I have the power to do right and his correction if i think bad, and the promise of heaven,
In the last chapter of Revelation Jesus closes the Word of God saying if anyone adds to my words they will have plagues and taken out words will be taken out of the book of life to go to hell.
My Jewish people wrote a further book "The Talmud" inspired by men even if they claim an 'angel' which is a deamon. It is calling Jesus words wrong and saying that Jesus was an illigitimate son-proof of the lie, he was allowed in the temple, no inlligitimate child could enter the temple.

Seriously, I'm thinking about it. When my DVD player went out...I watch movies on my computer. Other than hockey playoffs, I could totally do without TV.

We only watch it for about an hour or two a day though and mostly for the news!
