i love that song,
it goes, you cant always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you might find you get what you need.
i say very true., and depending on what you want in life, how you look at like. you know, if you view your life as never getting to your goal, or never or nearly not coming out on top, or being happy all the time with what you have, instead of what you wish you had.................i guess its all about being greatful, or looking at what you got, instead of where you are lacking.
simple example:
a man has this woman, not drop dead gorgeous, whatever, not making very good money, but she's faithful, thinks he's a the best man alive, never complains, and treats him as such,
can go both ways, a woman has this man, he has a reg. 9-5, maybe hard labor job, not making enough to afford a house, or a car, but hes faithful to her, and provides for the family, never complains, and honors her...........
i'll take a man like that anytime, in fact i have one except he's in school, i have what i need,so my wants almost seem to not exist.........

someone once told me that when you want something.. then you get it you no longer want it :(
It depends on whether the things we want is reasonably important compared to the essential things we need in life. For example, should we always go to an expensive, fancy restaurant for dinner everyday? So that we can eat "top quality" food that's perfectly prepared and perfectly served? Shouldn't we appreciate home-made food prepared by family and friends? So that we can enjoy not only good food, but to also enjoy being around people who we absolutely love? We can "almost" get anything we want in life, but we also really need to consider if we "need" them.
