I like to put them on hold, especially if it is one where they put me on hold to begin with.
I love this question. I AM a telemarketer ( for the Shriners).
1. just be like, oh one sec i'll get my dad, and then just put the phone down, so they just wait and wait and eventually give up.
2. ask for their phone number, and when they give you the company one say "no, i want your HOME number, so i can call you while YOU'RE having dinner and annoy you" haha
Turn the music up and let them hear.
