When someone compliments you more than once, how their facial expressions are when they are giving the compliment, and if they go into detail about what they are complimenting you for.

When it's not a generic compliment (i.e. "You have beautiful eyes")...Anyone can say that to anybody..
When it comes from the heart...and you can tell by their countenance too.

You can tell by the sincerity of the other person, and in particular, if it's a compliment freely given, with no expectation of anything at all in return, then it's genuine.
I don't really know. These days I know enough to just say "thank you" even if I believe them to be lying or just saying it to say it. Eh. I guess I have low self-esteem :/

Ir all depends on the person who is complimenting you and what they are complimenting you about. Frankly, when I receive a compliment, I accept it with thanks without wondering if the compliment is sincere or not.
