Everyone has pissed someone off. If we spent our lives trying to please the people we have pissed off, we wouldn't have any time left to please the people who love us.
If you have seriously wronged someone, you can chalk it up to life experience and never tell them you realize what a total jerk you were or, you can step up and say, "Hey, after thinking about it, I know I was wrong and it sucks that I hurt you." But only if they matter enough in your world for you to do so. Also, they probably did some crappy things to you too.
It all evens out. If you are a crappy person, people will be crappy to you. Vice Versa.
If I later realize that I was wrong or that someone I love thinks I was wrong, I'll give them their coveted apology and forgive them silently for their wrong doings. It keeps loved ones feeling loved and I don't mind.
