Why do you choose to not get married?!
Question: For those of you who live together but aren't married to your partners, why do you choose to not get married? Not being weird or anything, but I want to explore alternatives to the marriage certificate. ;-)

Look at society right now. I think they say about 80% of marriage ends in divorce. Now if that is the case why do people need a small piece of paper that says they are married. When you might be ending in the divorce end and will be spending thousands of dollars on a lawyer? Who needs the piece of paper to prove it. As long as you know, he knows, and the ppl around you .. then HEY we are all good

I don't need a piece of paper to prove to a man that I love him :) I'll be happy just living with him.
I don't live with my b/f but no one has asked me to get married either so what can you do?
because we have common-law partnership >> legal rights as married couples
Usually, one person or the other is gun-shy
about getting "tied down".
That was never me. It was the ladies of mine who always got "cold feet"...

Marriage changes people--sometimes good, sometimes bad....don't think I ever want to take the chance...
sometimes its better to live with someone for a while before getting married..u will learn even more about them......... not that i would know though
