Question: As Senior Customer Wheels Adjudicator, (SCWA) I have a bit of time on my hands at the moment due to a minor dispute (council/supermarket) over who pays for the approach road from the motorway to our new supermarket's car park. Result, there isn't one. Don't worry though, there is a park and ride scheme in operation from the town centre but, as I gaze out from my office window and see the gleaming white lines proudly marking out the vast, black tarmac facility, I sometimes think that it will be a shame when vehicles do have a way in and spoil its lovely, virginal look. I'd have no job, of course.

no but we could get down to one per household if we had better mass transit, it's also time to get freight off of trucks and back on rails

Come to Pennsylvania Dutch country where life without automobiles is a reality. Also, no electricity and no telephone.
Just horses, buggies, wagons and propane for light. heat and running a few appliances.

Yeah it's possible, just melt down the cars and make lots and lots of motorbikes .... but then I ride a bike.
