What's one question you asked on here that was taken WAY out of context?!
Question: I asked a question some time back about if a woman's name should be revealed publicly if it was proven she made a false rape accusation.
OMG, actual rape victims came out the woodwork saying "How do you know it was a false accusation?" "I was raped!" and what have you.
I was not even TRYING to poke fun at rape, and I got RIPPED a new one!!

I once asked "Does being an atheist give a person license to be an arrogant know it all?" and I got the typical responses, but one person called me a bit ch, so when i blocked him, he made two profiles just to chew me out! It was hilarious!
The bad thing? I wasn't even talking about all atheists, just one. And the atheists I showed the question later said he was being an arrogant jackhole. :P

I remember that. I can't think off hand of any but I know it has happened. People sometimes just don't read what you write and other times they take it too literally.
I asked a question about cameras at red lights. And several used some really foul language about me. And they assumed that I make an effort to run through red lights. It was just a hypothetical question. And if they had taken the time to actually read it, they would have known that it was.
You deserved it .... I was joking by the way...
Umm I asked one about why mothers feel the need to tell EVERYONE how much their babies poop and every detail about its poop.. It upset a lot of women... I mean seriously do I REALLY need to know this? I get that you love your children but for ***** sake no one cares!!
Or I asked a question about WHY so many were people overweight ... A lot of people got very angry at this I was just asking why they thought this was so...
I asked yesterday If it was ok to flirt with the drive-thru manager at the local fast food joint to score a free meal. LOL.....people told me that I should place more value on myself...that I was worth more than a cheeseburger!

Just yesterday I asked, "Mainstream Christians, do you realize how silly you look when you call LDS or JW faiths cults?"
of course its been reported so no need to get all bent out of shape anymore, but i had a lot of hateful responses. you know you've asked something you shouldn't have when the top answerer gives a very good reply and has 14 thumbs ups and 14 thumbs downs. guess i polarized the community.
Ok, mine needs a little background. I am LDS (Mormon) and I kept seeing people write about how we have to have babies in order for our religion to maintain adequate growth. There were comments that said we HAD to have a lot of babies for this reason. So I asked how many babies I needed to have to do my part.
Boy did people get mad. I had people saying I should be sterilized among other things. I thought it was pretty funny. One person called me a 12 yr old and said he hoped I didn't live long enough to have kids. Guess what? I'm 27 and I have 3 kids.
The sad thing is that the laws tip in favor of the women. If a man is accused of rape, he will probably be convicted, even if it is not true.
Yeah I have had some taken out of context, usually I am being silly and people don't see that. But really people take this place far too seriously.
Jeff- I thought your question was great and very well worded. There was nothing offensive about it to me. Of course, I am LDS.
On my last account (it got suspended after this question) I ventured over to R&S and asked, "Were you raised as part of a certain religion, and did your religious views start to change as you grew older, or do you still believe what you were raised to?" They got all offended and thought I was saying they were brainwashed. That wasn't really my intention.

Most of my questions are completely misunderstood, so they pretty much all apply.
i came across a questionable question once and i wasnt sure how to answer it because if i answered it wrong i would get a violation,so to be on the safe side i answered no comment and sure enough i got a violation! go figure!
I once asked a Q about if NHL teams should move from certain southern US cities where the teams were hardly noticed by the media and attendance was low to Canadian cities that had lost NHL teams and really wanted them back.
This was interpreted as "Americans are horrible people" by certain members and who continue to harass me even now.
