Religion is the #1 cause of wars and I think people are just blinded by it.

Well, I know that the bible states that you'll go to hell for killing someone. The bible says that war is not the answer and killing someone to solve something isn't what he wants and he'll send you to hell for doing so.

Most Christians believe in free will, the idea that God gave humans the ability to do whatever they choose. Religious wars are caused by humans, usually deeply flawed ones at that.

I love this,people always ask why God does things.I'm not a great believer in God but the one thing I can identify with is the concept that God created of free will.Therefore the choice you make is yours and yours alone.Each person on this planet has to stand accountable for the things they do,unfortunately God obviously made a flaw when creating mankind it's called blame something we as humans like to lay on someone else rather than ourselves.

Logical thinking: if the world has had and still has poverty, misery, war and all the other things which go to make up man's inhumanity to man, then, given the religious ideal of a god as all-embracing, kind, there to look after us, etc., the two things just don't go together. Therefore, there is no god, q.e.d.
Of course, the religious people will argue that it is man who creates war, etc. and they are right, but wasn't god supposed to have created man in his image? Whoops! Another thing that doesn't gel. Sorry, but it just doesn't wash.
If a god exists, then it can only be inside of man and not the super-being which organised religion tries to teach us. As Dave Allen always used to finish his shows with - 'May your god go with you!'
