Answers: ...in a clockwise motion while sniffing at the air and listening for the sounds of the forest?

Oh my God Buk..just reading this brought back a flood of memories.
Growing up, I was very involved in Scouting, going from a Cub to Scout and eventually a leader. The Troop I helped form was made of like minded people, who loved the woods and the lessons nature can teach us..if we only listen to her.
Many a time I stood before the campfire, the silence before we woke the Scouts, broken only by the crackling of the flames. Even in the winter we went at least twice a month.
I stood one winter's day, with my oatmeal, on the edge of the camp area. I was listening to the sounds of an animal moving slowly through the bush, my only movement a slow clockwise stirring.

The buck stepped out into a small clearing, on the other side of the small river. We were only twenty feet apart. He, standing still watching me, I leaning against a tree watching him. As though aware of something special, the forest seemed to go silent.
We stood there for a good ten minutes, eyeing each other, neither showing any signs of fear. Finally the buck lowered his majestic antlered head a touch, as though in a slight bow. I smiled and nodded back, then watched as the magnificant creature moved off back into the bush.

I never went hunting again, except with a camera.
I offer you this tale in thanks for bring that memory back to me tonight.

um not today maybe tomorrow

Not me, I haven't had oatmeal in forever.

I haven't done that before, but I will definitely try that tomorrow morning.

I do...

But i have a different twist... I stir it using my penis...

Yes... I have a penis... what's it to you?

I'm usually stirring back and forth waiting for the computer to warm up and trying not to breathe.... damned dog.

I do. It's all about getting back to nature.

Clockwise stirring, sniffing the air, and listening to the sounds of the forest is fulfillment at it's maximum.

I have temper tantrum's and throw my oatmeal, while listening to the sounds of the forest.

God bless u Buk,

Daniel

buk, i know your questions well....you are bored, my freind. here, you can have my last bottle of ripple.

OK, you had me right up until "listening for the sounds of the forest". That I don't do lol :)

Sorry, I stir COUNTER-clockwise and I hear the sounds of traffic, not the forest.

oh yeah,.. I just so much love camping and fishing!
are we there yet?!

(Voice of my toddler self)

"My Mom always made us Cream of Wheat, with a dab of melting butter sitting in the center of the bowl, and she would put out a jar of granulated sugar, and we would get to choose how much sugar we put on top of the whole thing..."

...and we would be outside in the back part of the breezeway, between the side of the house and the garage, with a huge Willow Tree shading the entire backyard...and undeveloped wilderness stretching for what like seemed forever over the fence in the backyard...

And now...that undeveloped wilderness is developed...

And Mom doesn't make me Cream of Wheat anymore...

But I still love her...cause she knows I would've preferred some greasy bacon instead...hee hee...

Sure do, never a day goes by,,,,,,
hmmmmm, thinking of Buk !!!!!

I stir mine counterclockwise...while my dog sniffs at the air and listens for the sounds of the forest...I kept telling everyone he sensed the winds of change a coming....but few believed.

Your thinking of Goldilocks maybe.
I do feel my wild oats a stirring though Buk.

That sounds like multi tasking ... i'm too lazy to do that.

I thought that was you in the dark green tent down by the clearing. I stir counterclockwise.

I thought thats for when you eat Muselix cereal

I usually only hear the cars whizzing down the highway and smell the asphalt from the Walmart parking lot but yeah, I stir in a clockwise motion.
