Sounds like it's just going to ENCOURAGE more people to report simply because they don't agree with the question being asked. As if we need more of that.

It's a way for Yahoo to duck any action for the trolls. The trolls seem to follow certain people at times and target them. It's Yahoo's way of telling the trolls to stop doing what they're doing, unfortunately, I don't think it will change anything and it probably will encourage more reporting.
That being said, I could be wrong. I mean, although I wasn't rooting for them, I did think the Patriots were going to win the Super Bowl. :)
I love your Avatar, but there are probably some jerks who would hate it. They will report you for that reason. So that is one reason to not have reporting. However, there is so much stuff on here that is completely disgusting and malicious, that it needs to be reported. For example, last night there was a question by someone whose Avatar featured rgwe "N" word and he referred people to a photo of a deformed fetus in a formaldehyde jar that looked like it was missing most of its head. This is the stuff nightmares are made of.
If we remove reporting, then we should guarantee that no one under 18 can come on here for any reason.
