The idea of allowing the "community" to 'police its own' was perhaps the biggest mistake they made. The majority of the people on here are far too emotional, unintelligent, and immature to manage such responsibility.

No, at least where I am concerned. I rarely if ever get violations anymore. It's been a couple of months, at least. I guess there are tricks of the trade to avoid those nasty violations.

I have only gotten 2 VN. One I deserved. The other I appealed and it was reversed. Read the community guidelines and follow them and you won't get violations. It is very simple.

It's not YA itself, it's the users; although YA is complicit in their actions by encouraging people to report violations.
I got one today for answering a question, but then listing the words that the asker had misspelled. No criticism, just listing, and got a violation for insulting other members.

Yes, it has become much too arbitrary. We have a Reign of Terror again, as was present in the French Revolution. Any moron can report any answer or question or answer he does not like, and Yahoo goes along with it. Something must be done to remedy this deplorable situation. I have some ideas.
