What a rip off, how can they expect to get away with this folks?!

Question: Was in a music store with my cousin (has a famous dog?)

Was looking for prices of a CD a CD Boxset and a DVD Boxset. In store all together £172

Went online and got the best prices all together £86.91 delivered. Saving £85.09.

Do you think there is something wrong here?

Don't you guys pay luxury tax there? And, if I remember, you guys always paid more for gas, and I heard years ago you were paying an average of $4.00 per gallon for Petro/gas/fuel, and now we are paying that here in USA! I am so scared for all of us. Yes, something is wrong!

Hmm you must live in England.
Am I correct?
And I only know "$" lol.

Very wrong but the overheads are also very different....
Still wrong though...

does that include postage.

Yes, and people will pay their price too cause not everyone has access to the net. x

Yes, thats why we all should shop online! The rich get richer and the poor destitute....

Very wrong I buy most of my music and books on line because of that

I know! Doesn't that crap make you mad! And stores wonder why people shop on line!! I always look at both before I buy anything! It sucks to find out you could have gotten it alot cheaper AFTER you bought it! :(

Who's the famous dog?

Rip off Britain strikes again, bet if you wait 2 months it`ll be on eBay for £39,99

wrong but theres always a fool and as long as theres a fool theres a market! good on you for spotting a bargain

Yes you are being ripped off which is endemic of the UK today.

The On-Line store doesn't have to pay for the Brick and Mortar Location in expensive markets, they don't have as many employees, The marketing is easier (hey, google the price search -- they are looking to cover their costs and make a small profit), the markup does not have to be as great (because ... they don't need it) ...

So .... these are just a few of the factors decreasing the cost of business for an INTERNET Business vs a Traditional "Brick and Mortar" (in other words -- the Shopping Mall) store. With LESS overhead, they have LESS overall costs, therefore, discount further.

well theres definitely something wrong with the prices in uk scotland and northern ireland. everything is more expensive over here, i dont get it. i think we should get out on the streets and protest. you know, go all the way, quit our jobs and fight the power!! viva revolution!

nice one mate...i get all my cd's dvd's online..shops are a rip off as your paying for staff and shop overheads!!!
but watch the prices rise when everyone gets the message about online shopping...
Along the same lines who would have thought 5/6 years ago diesel would be more costly than petrol? supplier demands( we kick our own ars*s)

yep its a rip off your better buying ON line
