yes i appealed one.. (have had many more..lol).. i said.. "gimme my points back now!".. and went on to tell them that i would take the matter further..and report them!.. it worked!..pmsl.. i got my 10 points back!
i have since appealed against a suspension.. and they said ...accounts are never reactivated after suspension.. but i could start a new one.. ahhh very kind of them!.. acount no 4.. still going strong.. for now!..pmsl...;)

Many of them have been appealed, but only a handful successfully.
Most of my VNs were legit, but I has so much fun with the Qs that I don't care.
The ones I DID get overturned I was POLITE, and clearly demonstrated how they were NOT examples of. Violations of the guidelines.

Just this morning, as a matter of fact.....
Second time I've appealed. The first time I was not successful. (Violated for "chatting" both times I've appealed.) I doubt I'll get anything out of this one either.
When I appeal, it doesn't have anything to do with points, it's a matter of principle.
I've received other violation which I have not appealed. For cursing, or whatever. I don't even bother to appeal those. I accept them (yet, I've never regretted anything I've said). It's those b.s. "chatting question" violations that really get under my skin.
