Sure I would mention it, especially if they are a good friend. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it, I would just say something like, "Did you know that the framis nut was missing when I got my board stretcher back?" If they said,"Oh yea, sorry, I forgot to mention it to you, I just forgot." All would be done, if they chose to lie about it, I probably wouldn't loan them anything I was fond of again. But I still wouldn't make a big deal about it if they are a good friend, I would just remember it.

I would say something
or probably blow up

Depends on the friend and the item. More than likely, I'd wait until I could be polite about it.

i'd probably smack him upside the head and then get on with life.

yeah i would tell them, one time my friend let use her pencil for a day and then i accidentally broke it- of i thought i did, and then i finally told her and she said it wasnt broken. SO TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

say nothing at all..I've done it before just my personalliy i don't say any thing just hold it in..

i would say something...true friends are honest with each other...i dont care of it hurts their feelings..they need to know what they did

I think I would have to say something. I also would never let them borrow anything again.

If they were a good friend and noticed the problem? I wouldn't have to say anything it would have all ready been fixed/ or replaced. I would have to say something ..if they failed to see the problem or it could fester some real bad feelings later.

say something...if their that good a friend it wont be a big deal

yes, i would mention it.
most likely, if they were my good friend, i would be able to talk to them about it.

I'd probably not make a big deal out of it but be silently upset.

I borrow husbands and then give them back to their wives...but they are better for it I think

of course i would tell them something.................. in a nice way

hell yeah i'd be pissed.

It happened to me and i didn't say anything because I knew that was going to happen. It was more like a shame on me thing. I never let her borrow anything else again

oh well, i let my best friend borrow my favorite gold neclace...it was a gold heart, and it was really cute, and she freakin lost it...and everytime i ask her about it shes like oh ill bring it tomorrow, or o my boyfriend has it...but then when i asked her boyfriend, he was like dude i never had that necklace... she lost it!!!

I would, because if not,she might do it again and get use to doing it...

I would pull them up about it.

Your Q reminds me of the time I lent my friend my favorite suit she left it into the dry cleaners after wards and they ruined it, I was compensated but I did like that suit.

Yes I have been in this position and I always said something because of the sentimental value. More on the line of a joke. My friends offered to pay the money value I never accepted because if you loved something that much you shouldn't lend it out in the first place. Friends are far more valuable than my possession so I wouldn't let that come between us.

Mention it and not do it again...!!

It depends what it was and what condition it was in beforehand.

Yeah I'd mention it, but I don't really have anything that I would lend to my friends that I care about enough to care if it were dammaged!
