Do You Call it a "CD" or an "Album"?!
Question: I usually use both interchangably. Although with CDs starting to sell less and less and the digital downloading thing to get more popular, the technical term will probably be dropped to just "album." What do you think? Do you still say both?

I say both. But technically, the CD refers the physical disc (that is: the round object with the hole in middle) and Album refers to the musics, the songs, the tracks, etc.
well if it's a single or an EP I call it a CD
if it's an album I call it an album.

Album is a collection of like things, so Album is still very appropriate.
I still say album because it is the logical and correct term to use. An album is a collection of something(pictures, songs, poems) put into a singular form (photo album, song album). An album can be in book form, on magnetic tape, on vinyl, on a CD or DVD. These are only the different formats of albums. So when your fav band comes out with a new group of songs, they don't have a new CD out, but a new album out on CD, technically speaking.
I say Album for an EP (expended play), Single for a single, and demo or short for a few songs. I rarely say tape,cd or vinyl
I say both. Haha. Despite the rise of digital downloads, I still prefer to go down to stores and pick albums out. It feels good spending time there! Looks like I'm stucked in '90s, huh?
Both, depending on weather it is a old Long Play Record (or album) or a new version of that called a CD - also soon to be regarded as 'old'
