Question: all of a sudden I am getting VN notices and thumbs down....I have noticed a few people have connected with me and I haven;t bothered to check them out.....Your thoughts...?

Always check them out! If you don't know who they are, if they don't have Q&A in common, if they're a new account, block them immediately. Go through now and get rid of them.

Yep I would if I was you. It happened to me, once I put my profile on private and started blocking people....the vn's stopped too :-)

I hated to do it but I ended up deleting everyone because I was getting so many VNs and TDs. I also was being stalked and couldn't figure out by whom. I can't ask a question without a VN.

I woke up with 3 violations and noticed someone new on my fan list. I blocked him.
Sounds like you got a real fan club ...... I think the whole thumbs down thing is a conspiracy between folks and the other log in screen names to force the one they have chosen to answer to get the most votes .... there by awarding them selves the best answer by votes ......

They really should let you allow or deny anybody that wants to add you, I've got 25 total...only 13 that I don't mind.

some jerk in Wrestling reported my question, but I didn't get a VN notice for it-just a notice that it was reported.
Check everyone out before you add them, block the contacts on your list that you don't know, and clear out your fans. I had to clear out everything yesterday. I got 12 violations in 1 day.
I haven't connected to you but I give you a star. If you don't know a contact then remove them. :)

unfortunately, the VN's aren't coming from other users, those are straight from yahoo.
If somebody's reporting you, u'll receive and email stating that "your Q/A has been reported by another user", it's a totally different animal....

Shame. P&S is usually a fun place. I do try to connect only with those folks that I've seen for a couple and that have witty questions and/or answers. Hope it gets better, and soon.
I removed a certain contact from my list 2 weeks ago and I have not received a violation notice one. I suspect not only was she reporting but all her friends.
I don't add unless I am sure....let me know what time the block party starts...I wouldn't want to be late...

If they didn't email you first or you haven't checked them out block them, that's how I just lost my (almost) level 5 account the other day!
