** So you can go up for seconds, thirds etc and get a new clean plate less food wastage also I guess

so you can't much food and even though it's all you can eat iin your brain, you r brain will think your full/over-eating cos youvehad lie 4 plates when really youve only had like 1 or 2 normal sized plates ........... It so they can get more money

So it makes you loook like you have loads on your plate, and you dont keep going up for more, it doesnt work with my two friends though, they have a compitition on how many plates they can have, they get up to about 11 and give up haha!

The staff hate us when we turn up!

so that you keep coming back for more

Little plates cut down on the amount of food that you take. This, in turn, cuts down on waste if you don't eat all of the food on your plate. I also like to think that it attempts to guilt you into not returning for 3rds, 4ths, and more. The fewer trip you make and food you eat is more money in their pockets.

The one I go to sometimes lets you choose what size. Like small, medium, and large. I guess it really depends on where you go. =)

Because eating from buckets could make some people scared!

all of the trips burn off the calories

leave some food for everybody else.

They want you to feel guilty about going back so many times. Like "OMG this is my 4th trip up here...everyone is staring at me!!" So you won't eat so much and they make more money off of you. Not really a conspiracy, just smart.

Because people pile their plates up and then can't eat it all. So much food goes to waste.
Smaller plates are better because people can usually finish the food on them, and if they are still hungry they can go back for more.
Caterers don't mind how many times people go back for food, as long as they eat it and not waste it.
