Once upon a time I turned on the radio and I heard the most horrifying thing in the world. It was Jennifer Lopez singing.
I heard a story of a Woman who slept with her pet python for nearly 15 years without a problem. One day the python began to lay on her bed straight without movement for days. The woman called a vet to see what was wrong. The vet examined the python and then immediately told the woman to leave the house and have someone put down the python. When she asked the vet why he told her that the python was preparing itself to have her as its next meal.
Okay, so this is an excerpt from the book I'm writing. It's about where Gaurdian Angels are trained. It's basicly a good versues evil thing. The Malinians are the gaurdian angels, and they train both spiritually, and in combat skills to protect people from the Golgaths. The Golgaths are people who have fallen to the lust and temptation af the Devil, and now seek more followers, destroying lives and familes in the process. We stumble into the story with a young woman named Katanya, a Milinian trainer, her class of five children, on a feild trip to the Neutral Territory, the Maze...
Katanya surveyed the gray area before her as she listened to the sounds of the children climbing out from the portal behind her. She sighed, she didn't need to turn around to know what look she would find on their faces, she'd taken enough classes on this trip to know what the reaction would be, it was always the same. The infamous Neutral Territory, the Maze. A seemingly endless mass of black brick alleyways, full of dead ends and long gray hallways ending in immpentrable fog, the Maze writhed like a single continous black snake. All who came into it felt the forces withen the maze, the dark things that haunt places where light cannot reach... this was a place of nightmares. It was a neutral territory, though. Both clans could be here, though the Malinians didn't visit here very much, only to show people what Darkness truely felt like. The Golgaths came more often, drawn to it's malice and terror, but neither clan could hold a claim over it, neither would dare disurb the dark forces in the heart of the Maze...
"Miss Kat-ya?" said a small voice at Katanya's elbow, startling Katanya out of her reseirve. She looked down and smiled, little Maery was tugging at her sleeve, a frightened look on her face. Maery was only 7, she couldn't quite pronouce Katanya's name, but she tried, bless her heart.
Katanya knelt down so she could look at her, "What is it honey?" she asked soothingly.
Maery looked around, nervous, "I don't like it here." She looked Katanya in the eyes, "I'm scared."
Katanya looked around at the other children, seeing mirroed thoughts as Maery's, then at her surrondings.
She didn't blame Maery one bit for being scared, they were surrounded on three sides by tall black brick walls, stretching up away into infinity and gray mist. Behind them, their portal had just closed after the last child stepped through. In front of them lay an alley, whose end remained unseen, as it was aslo cloaked in immpenatrable gray mist. A heavy sense of forebodding hung in the air. That was different, noticed Katanya, like something was going to happen, something bad...
A portal broke open in front of her, and Kantanya's insides froze.
They had disturbed the Darkness.
