It is the way people are raised and the environment we live in today. It is 'cool' to give people the finger and use profanity. Back in the 70's when I was coming up cursing in front of a woman was unheard of; women cuss like truckers today. Just no class and you get hug for almost crying. Luv you sweetie :)

they dont know you so dont let it get to you, there are a lot of nasty people out there
people take their frustrations out on others. don't take is personal.
Some people think it is okay to do it because you are a "stranger" and you are "getting paid" to take their crap.
(Of course, it's NOT alright. It's shameful!)
I think people are meaner on the phone than in person. Since they can't see you, they feel more OK about just ripping someone apart.
I think people are just irritated and decide to take out there aggression on innocent people. Don't let it get you down.

I know what you mean i worked for a property company and had many nasty people on the phone swearing and shouting at me.
