I prefer the minced beef ones because I don't like kidneys..
Put them on a lower shelf, at a slightly lower temperature and cook it for longer and you'll get crispier pastry.
The pastry is always soggy when I've ever cooked them and the filling is just gravy!
mmm....dog food filling and floppy pastry...they got me thru uni...sigh
