Answers: yeah ive always watched them and now dont find things scary or have phobias so all in all i think it did me good

Only if you want to mess them up for life and give them everlasting memories - are you kidding with this question?

No it will scare them.

I personally think they shouldn't.

...my bff's little sister has been watchign them since she was 3 and she is fearless XD

only if they don't have nightmares

No,I dont think so. They r too young for that.

Yes.

My 10 yr old son loves them and he and I watch them together.

yeah - it will desensitize them to the horrors of modern life lol

Not Too Young; it almost 'guarantees' Nightmares...!!

Generally speaking, no, but it kind of depends on how young and exactly what kind of horror the movie contains. It also depends on the kid. My son would have had nightmares when he was younger over things in movies that my daughter (almost 7) just rolls her eyes at and says "It's not real, you know!".

Guess you should go If they don't get nighmares after watching it. If they do don't let them watch them till they are older !

Hell no.

There's other movies too. Remember Passion of the Christ? There were 3 or 4 toddlers there when it was playing.

The movie Wrong Turn, there was a lady with 2 kids, both under the age of 7 there.

Lord of the Rings, I forgot which one, with the mammoth things in it. Someone brought their 4 year old with them, who proceeded to scream in terror when the mammoths came on. The dad's response? "Oh, it's just like the elephants at the circus." I would hate to see that kid at the circus.....

You should watch it first and decide.

I watch horror movies and i havent killed anybody. Yet.

NO! for goodness sake. Movies have an age rating and it's there for a reason.

Well, If you want them to have nightmares all their lives and let them see dead people. Of course its not okay!!!!

no it messes the subconsious and may bve to sensible with anything suprising also if to young later in life coul dend with a heart attack.

No. It's highly irresponsible to allow them...they are not capable of knowing reality from the horror on the screen.

nope..when i was lil i watched it....i coudnt get those scenes outta my mind for like months..

No. They can get nightmares from watching horror movies.

im the youngest of 4 kids,,, so i grew up watching horror movies
did i turn into a serial killer?,, am i messed up?

NO WAY AT ALL

im a sweet wife and mum of 4, ,, im still a horror freak now, but its up to the kids, if my kids wanna watch them i let them, my eldest is 11, she watches them with me,

i remember watching the R rated EVIL DEAD when i was around 9,,, yeah i was scared,,, but i loved it,,,lol xxxxxxxxxxxx

if they think they can handle it...i think that their parent should watch it with them that way if it gets too scary then they can turn it off.

I think it depends on which ones. I used to watch Chucky and Nightmare on Elm Street movies with my dad all the time and now I'm a huge fan of horror as an adult. I don't condone subjecting them to nudity but a little horror without the nudity once in awhile I don't think is so bad.

when you scare children, they will forever be scared of everything.

my boyfriend WAS NOT scared by anyone when he was a kid. not even once. he was not exposed to horror movies, ghost stories, threats, etc. and now he's like some courageous knight who doesn't scream on horrors, or get surprised by ultimate suspense.

that part sucks.

Depends on the movie and age....I watched them since i was 7 and I am fine, depends on the kid too, my brother was a chicken at the same age i was

not really, unless they are able to control their fear

Not so much !

I dont know ... even the sci-fi channel gets a little out of hand !

Hello,
No I do not, the news either.
Children are children, allow them this luxury.
Way to many children these days are the heads of there households and do whatever they like.
Heck I did not watch them a lot until my oldest became a teenager and I watched them with him. When the middle boy was 14 or so he walked out of a movie theater after we all agreed to see a scary movie without the youngest boy (we took him to another movie).
The youngest has started watching some of them on tv (edited) he is 12.
None of them watch the news for the most part, this being the scariest thing out there.....

No they should be kept away from young children because the will scar them mentally and play tricks with their mind.
