sure why not. i own a sheep farm and with 4 kids under the age of 10 they all insist that in order for the ewes to breed they need to be "married" to the ram , so everytime we get a new ewe we have this "marriage ceremony" done by the kids so that they understand that while sheep maybe just livestock they also need to be married before they have babies.

some people organise the marriage of their pets and perform it with pomp and show. In some parts of India frogs are married with great fun fare to please the rain god for rain and good harvest. And why do you forget us , the humans , we are also animals afterall , and we get married !
