When they shut down a block and have a party. All cars have to be moved. People bring out their BBQ grills, radios, games, etc. and everyone on teh block comes together in harmony.
It's usually low-income neighborhoods who support this.
people who live on the same block usually close off the street and have a big old party..like a BBQ
A festive event which includes lots of neighbors and a crap load of green jello.
Everyone on your block gets together for a party, usually a cookout, and it is held on the street where you live. It is a good way to get to know your neighbors.
When loads of blocks join together to have a good old party and its a good time. =D
Also there is a band called block party =D
It's a musical version of Tetris !!!
We had neighborhood block parties for our church. There was all kinds of activities to do there. Such as..
VolleyBall
Basketball
Dunk Tank
Face Painting
Prize Drawings
BBQ's
Kids Games like the bean bag tic tac toe, ballon darts etc
Hay Ride
Bonfire
Can't forget the music. We also had a live band play that night for an hour.
These were huge events. They would take place on a Saturday from 3-10pm. They were awesome!

parties like there's no tommorrow.Usually yhe police block off the street of vehicles so that the people on the block can party . At block partties people grill hotdogs,burgers,ribs.chicken,and maybe evn kaboobs!.They have drinks and sometimes beer if you have those older men there.They even have moon bounces for kids and other games too if the block party is that exsrtavagent!
