they are kind of abusing me
It's nice to praised for ones intellect but bloody annoying when they take no interest in what you use it for. Superficial praise is no praise at all.
People focus on the obvious and cannot see past their own self interests... So lets assume that you are smart, what are your interests?
they're envious... and quite often, unimaginative.
How do they praise your intelligence as one who can
recognize & apreciat it by comparison to their own intellect.
Or because most of what you say is beond them.
If the latter, they woudn't know where to begin to even fake
an interest.
It says they have no idea about who I am and what I stand for. This one pisses me off because I've been told in the past by a boss "you're and intelligent young lady" and yet...they didn't give me a chance to show that...and my interests...well...I don't know, most of them are sort of strange I guess :)
