Well, in fact, Abraham didn't do it, right when he was about to ( and his sons also agreed to let him do it), he was just about to but God sent a goat there so that Abraham could kill the goat instead of his son, and (God said that Abraham and his son passed the test). By the way, the goat did not feel pain neither. It was all just a test.
