Answers: What is your opion... Should the U.S. leave out or change Under God in the Pledge of Alegiance?

I believe in God and I like the Pledge the way it is now. So leave it in.
Yes, the part "UNDER GOD" was added to the pledge in 1954, because President Eisenhower felt that the pledge needed to be amended to put a deity into it. Thus the pledge was changed, and yes, there has been Jehovah Witnesses and others that have objected to it, since it was changed.
The words "Under God" came from Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

Keep it

Keep it

They should take it out because it wasn't there originally.

I like it the way it is.

that should remain til infinity !!!

Nope...leave it as it is........

KEEP IT.

I don't care, we've got much bigger issues to worry about than that.

keep it

Since there is no god, I'll say leave it out.

I think it shouldnt because some people in USA dont believe in god. I like it though, cuz i believe in Him

I think they should leave it its NOT hurting anyone and its true

Change it to "One Nation Under Canada, and Above Mexico.

Keep it. It means so much to so many, and if you don't believe on God, why let it bother you.

only for the fact that i don't want to hear people whine about it, we'll keep it. even though some of us do not consider ourselves under anyone

Omit it. It infringes on some beliefs.

I'm not religious but that's the Pledge of Allegiance. Don't like it don't say it.

i would say keep it, but then again i believe in God. i suppose if you are offended by it you could skip that part or change it to:
under allah, buddah, etc.

but for me i'm good with God!

definitely keep it

I fully believe in the separation of Church and State. That said, when was the last time we elected an atheist president? And do you think they would get any votes? I don't teach about God at home to my kids, it makes me cringe to think they are at school.

LEAVE IT IN!

Leave it out. Not everyone believes in God just like swearing on a bible in court.

The Muse

this country is supposed to respect all religions so unless you want to start saying something like under Alla. I don't like it at all.
I'm an atheist but i might think the same way if i were christian it may make others feel excluded.
I don't say it in the pledge when i stand up for it. i just say the next line instead. I have a personal coin collection and i rub the in god crap off.

its in the first amendment. "freedom of speech and religion."

not "the government will push on you what they please."
