If you did the 8.1 version, all the settings + preferences are under the messenger menu at the top. Dunno about the 9 version, tried it and couldn't get on with it all all.
Shout if you've still got probs downloading it, I've done it a number of times (by accident). And yep, blonde here too, hee hee.

I've no idea babes, i just clicked the messenger on the yahoo homepage, and took it from there................and i'm not blonde!!
Try tools and internet options - not sure if you want proxy settings or your poxy settings lol :-)
If you have the setup wizard it will guide you through the process. I know when I first tried to download it I couldn't because of the windows one. You will need to disable it so the download can complete. You can go to http://messenger.yahoo.com/emoticons.php
and download the newest version of it. It has the newest version listed for you to download in the downloads. I think it's right on that first page to, but I could be mistaken. Just look around and you'll find it there. :D
