My significant other would select the microwave while I'd have to say the best way to cook my meals is oven roasted or crock pot...slow and juicy :)

You can't beat an AGA - the only drawback is every AGA is different and you have to have an "understanding" with them to get the best out of them - we've had ours for six years and I only mastered it after two.

Gas hob -for control
Electric oven for the dry heat -a direct heat gas oven I find is too wet for really good meat and veg crisping and pastry
Microwave has it's place for veg - I find delicate veg like broccoli cooks better in the microwave. I also start beked potatoes in the microwave and crisp them up and finish them in the oven.
Gas - the temperature control makes it much easier for complicated preperations.
I prefer gas,but the flat i'm in at the moment has an electric oven.Can't change it to gas as I rent the flat.
