Mountains or the beach?!
Question: I'd like to live about 3 hours from both. Fly fishing and skiing...3 hour drive. Sailing and margaritas...3 hour drive. I'm thinking somewhere around Raleigh, NC would be nice.

ive never been to the beach so i guess i would have to pick the mountains. :(

depends. If you like crowds and sunburns go to the beach. If you like ticks and dirt go to the mountains. My advice: go to the mall.
I love the mountains and the beach, I wish there was a way to have the best of both worlds.

Depends on the mood and available time. A hike in the mountains makes a great weekend activity, but going to the beach is great for filling an hour or two. They are both fun.

The beach is always fun but if you have a boyfriend you want to go with, i would def pick the mountains. It is very romantic; try and get a cabin!
I prefer mountains. The beach is boring for me.
