I usually win everything within the last 5 seconds. I'm the sniper-bidder nobody likes...snatching the win and leaving them no time to put in another bid. I have a stop watch on my computer synced to the eBay's clock. People hate it when you do this, but it's just another bid, only in the closing seconds.

Sometimes, I put in a bid at a price that I would pay at max and forget about it. It doesn't bother me if I don't get it.

yes most bids are placed in the final minutes , i myself am a sniper lol , i add items to my watch list then i move in for the kill with minutes to go ....such fun !

I always bid at last minute... or at least on the same day if I wont be able to get to computer at end time. It annoys me when theres like 4 days to go and its already near your intended max bid!!
tip actually a better plan is to bid a stupid price no one else will bid. they see your max. and puts them off. ive got loads of bargains like this including a buggy for 1.75p (chicco explorer)
For better or for worse, that's the way an auction works. As for waiting until the last minute to place an ebay bid, that is a commonly used ploy.
thats always what I do. Wait till the last 30 secs or so ... I dont understand the idiots that do it days prior. I figured theyre friends of the buyer helping out
