I dislike their friends too. And what they do for a living. And every single person who does the same thing, even if they don't know each other. And everything they like. And so...

I tried being friends, but then I started disliking them more and even on the borderline of hate.

Few of the people I dislike know that I dislike them. That way, you can always use them later.

if their friends are ust like them then i might not like them either. I know its wrong to judge like that ... but we all do it.

no I don't avoid their friends unless their friends are uncomfortable being friends with people who are not their friends friend. wow that's kinda complicated.
The adult world seems to be just like High School. You are known by association. If you do not like someone, you usually do not like that persons friends either. SMILE!
I try to get to know them, and give them a chance to know me. Sometimes, it's better that way.
I don't Judge.
I don't avoid them or their friends, but I don't try to have conversations with them either. If I don't like them its usually because they were jerks to me first. I don't mind getting to know them better - I'll keep an open mind - but if they start behaving like a jerk again I'll just ignore them for quite a while.
My first reaction is to avoid them! Because as we say " Show me your friends to tell you who you are !!" . But then again, I think that maybe those friends might have something nice about them, something appealing . So I try to be somehow....objective and judge them according to themselves and not through their friend I dislike.
