Damien is quite good. You could then shorten it to "Dimmy". If you've seen "The Exorcist", you will know that this is what Father Damien's mother usually calls him.

my best friend had a hamster she called zippo and it died when we were in year 5 i think it was and she cried for days, and when i do my hamster acts she says i look like him lol weird i know but Zippo is the way to go :)

We had a lovely cream one who, although he was so little on the outside, was big and strong inside, so we called him after a Volcano - "Stromboli"
Then we got a little girl and called her Poppacatapetal - petal for short.
