If you see someone get hit by a car in the middle of the night, will you help the!

Question: ....If the driver already drove off, left with an injured person?

I just remembered that once I went through this situation (I was only a kid) I was in a car with my mom we were in a country somewhere, small road, no street lights. then we saw a lady laying on the road blood everywhere and my mom wouldn't stop to help her!!! I asked her why and she said that the woman is probably unconscious she wouldn't even know who hit her and she might even report to the police randomly that my mom did it. I personally dont agree with my mom at all, the lady could die right there, and I wonder where did my mom come up with that excuse?!

Your mom was probably scared. For all she knew it could have been a trap. Not worth risking her life, and her child's life. There weren't any cell phones back then, either. She should have called the police and reported it as soon as she got to a place with a phone, though.
That said, I can take care of myself. I would call 911, then do what I could while waiting for help to arrive. I keep a blanket in my car, so I could cover the victim, after checking for signs of life. Perform CPR or administer first aid, if necessary. Light some road flares, etc.
Your mom worrying about the lady reporting her as the hit-&-run driver was lame. It would be obvious that her car had, or had not, been involved in an accident.
I think people should do what they can to help their fellow man, but you must be cautious. It isn't unheard of for would-be criminals to stage such a scene to get someone to stop! Then when you do, you could get car-jacked, mugged, or worse! Lock all your doors before stopping, survey the scene for anything that seems suspicious, get 911 on the phone, and follow their advice.
As for me, I'd get out with my cell phone in one hand, and my trusty tire iron in the other. That's just me, though.

yues ofcourse i would

I would make a call to 911.

If you see an accident, you are required by law to stop and render aid.

well yes i would

Are you sure your mom didn't hit the lady? Her excuse sounds very paranoid.

And yes, of course I would stop....there's nothing that would prevent me from stopping.

Of course, it is my duty as a citizen and a human being. Your mom should be ashamed of herself-no offense.

yeah and i would call 911

I'd call 911 first and then help the person.

Yes, I would help them and I would stay with them until medical help arrived. Even if they were deceased, I would stay, its just the human thing to do.

well your moms a terrible person. She wouldnt report you because they would fine no fricken dent in the front of your car. thats absolutley terrible and i am disgusted

I would call for help and wait until they arrived, I sure wouldn't want someone leaving me or someone I loved for dead.

Wow thats really strange. Yes I would help but I would hope that there wasn't a killer in the woods just waiting for someone to stop.

There's not a whole lot I could do for someone like that, but I would at least call the authorities and carry the person off the road.

Yes, I would help. Because if it was me, I would want someone to help me.

I would stop and call 911! and then see if the person needed C.P.R. ! I have a first aid kit in my car that is full of everything! and I carry my medical bag with me too! I am a nursing student and will be a R.N soon! I feel that it is my duty to help a person in a situation such as this! That's why I became a nurse! :)
