i remember them, but can't say it was fun to wear them
O goodness no!
I'm no where near that old!
I don't ever remember wearing bonnets, just those frilly little dresses with white gloves.
I remember my mom wanting me to wear them, but I would usually end up carrying them around with me. My daughters like wearing them , but they're hard to find now.
no i dont...but i have heard plenty of stories
uhhhh......no...my names not half pint and I wasn't born on the prairie.....
I can remember as a little girl getting a new hat, purse, and white shoes to wear with my Easter dress to church. It was a big deal to me!! I felt like a princess on that day :) BTW, I wear hats and I'm in my 40s. I love them!! They add style to any outfit. Wool for winter and straw for summer!!! It's not politically correct to dress a little girl as a girl nowadays. What a bunch of nonsense.
Sure I remember. Easter hat, Easter outfit and new shoes for church on Easter Sunday and yes it was always very exciting to get dressed up for both Easter and the start of spring.
I think it's gone by the wayside for the same reason all our other "traditions" have gone by the wayside!.
Ummmm, I can't recall ever wearing a bonnet.
I always loved those little straw hats with their flowing ribbons. Really can't say, I guess because you don't have to wear a hat in church any more. And yes again, very fond memories. >:D<
Sorry i'm not that old.
