I do it all the time. When we are shopping and she needs her hands free or needs to go to the bathroom or to try on clothes, etc. I am quite willing to hold her purse. It is obvious to any mature person what is going on. If some dweeb thinks it is funny, I could care less. A real man can hold his girlfriend's/wife's purse without feeling uncomfortable.
I occasionally ask my dad to do it. He says, a gentleman should be happy to hold his lady's purse (I mean, if she's in the bathroom or fixing her hair or something).
I do, and he does it gladly....

Not me. But I saw a girl give her purse to "her man" at a restaurant the other night. He carried it, but made a joke about it to the other guys present.
Um... he refuses to hold anything for me(except the door).
I'm not married, but I can remember my mother asking me several times. I just do it and hope nobody I know sees me!
