Serious opinions please....?!

Question: ....in the country you live in, what would be the punishment of a P.E. teacher who holds a 14 year old boy student's neck, than smash his face to the wall twice and twist his finger....?

It happened to my nephew in my country on Friday and the teacher is still employed in the same school. The family told me they have the medical reports from the hospital yet the school does nothing!!!

It happened to my nephew in my country on Friday and the teacher is still employed in the same school. The family told me they have the medical reports from the hospital yet the school does nothing!!!

that is so wrong no matter what country you come from

sorry should never happen

he should be sacked and arrested by the police and charged with assault

UK

fired for sure.

He'd lose his job and possibly do jail time

In my country, the parents would sue the SH!T out of the school, and the teacher!

Jail for a while and fired immediately!! Probably wouldn't be able to be a teacher anymore!!

They'd probably face inquiry, possibly tribunal and a good chance of dismissal. It might be time to laywer up.

in the US they would suspend the teacher, or atleast place him in a different place where "students arent in danger" until and investigation happens. from there it will then be decided if he keeps or loses his job. maybe they are still "investigating"

involve the police and prosecute

Yes, I come from the UK too.

OMG DAT IS HORRIBLE!
they would be fired in US

It would depend how much the event has been scandalised and you would need to know the exact circumstances surrounding the case. It does sound a little extreme but it is only one version of events.

in Toronto the teach would be suspended & police would be brought in & charges would be laid then after the trial if found guilty the teacher will not have a job in teaching anymore

why is the school not doing anything???
I hope your nephew is OK perhaps his father should pay a visit to the teacher..

good luck

I am in the UK and I guess a very dim view would be taken of the teacher but I don't know what would happen - it would depend on the school, maybe the teacher would get suspended and the school would hold and inquiry. Although its not right to do that - some kids wind the teachers terribly - what did your nephew do??

I'm sorry, but I have to ask - why have you named yourself after an @r$ehole?

Although at face value this seems to be horrible, I am curious to hear what led up to this? There should be something done, but you have left out information. I also like your avatar name....good one

He'd be sacked and prosecuted !! (or she) !!

Witnesses? Prosecute. Though I don't know which country you are in, you speak english well, so I presume your laws will be similar to Britain.

He would lose his job, be banned from teaching and possibly face prosecution.

First he would lose his job.
Second the family could hire an attorney and sue the school district for damages.
Third and this is just me I can say if it were my kid he would be in a coma after I smashed his head into a brick wall a few times...but that's just me.

I remember when I was in school in the 80's,seeing a gym teacher hit a boy on the back of the head.It was so loud the smack just echoed, and I was appalled.Nothing was ever done. That teacher was a bully. No matter what the kid did, that wasn't the teacher's place to do that.

The school should at least look into the incident and suspend the teacher until they have figured out what happened. Since, the school aren't doing anything, I would have been inclined to get the police involved, as abuse to a minor is taken quite seriously.

Uk - would most likely be sacked and put on trial. x

The p.e. teacher will be fired and be sent to prison

fired & jail
lane

sue the school for not fireing the teacher then make sure the teacher goes to jail for it....

Hi should be terminated and be jailed for 5 years,it's criminal conduct, even what ever boy have done, teacher have no right to hit him like this.

Firstly I would want to hear the report made by the teacher as to exactly what happened and why he took these actions..children of that age can lie just to get adults in trouble. If I was satisfied my nephew had told the full truth,I would firstly demand the school sack this person, and I would also seek a solicitor's advice as to whether the case should be taken further. Ensure the board of governors of the school are informed,as the headmaster might try a cover up...as a final resort I'd even consider telling local or national papers...I think that would certainly help you get the results you are looking for.But as I say,do not believe everything a child of that age tells you until you have listened to what the other party has to say on the matter.

GO AGAINST FOR HIM/HER . SWITCH ON TO COURT.HE WOULD LOOSE HIS JOB &IF POSSIBLE THEN MAY TASTE WIND OF JAIL

you have to involve the police, then report the teacher, to higher education, to be honest he needs the book, thrown at him, he should not be allowed to teach, children, of any age, don't let this teacher get away with what they have done, best of luck, blue

i would complain like hell to that school
fire him immediately
and spend 14 yrs of jail
that's child abuse

I would take it to court and have the man/woman fired or sued or something. This is illegal!

I bet he asked for it.
