Seeing as I'm 17, I'd be unlikely to date a 16 yr old, though I wouldn't be totally adverse to it. I'm much more likely however to pick up a guy a few years older than me.
If I were older, prehaps in my twenties, I wouldn't mind dating someone a year younger.

I think that totally depends on what age bracket you're in. If I was about 16, then no, I probably wouldn't.
At 50, I might date someone up to 8-10 yrs younger.
I don't really care how people perceive it. If I'm happy, that's what counts!
Edit: The difference is there can be a huge difference in interests and maturity levels, even with one year age difference. As you get older it levels out so there is more common interests and enough different ones to make it interesting.

If I were 21 and over, I don’t think it would be that much of a big deal, but I’m 16 and frankly, dating a 15 yr old definitely does not appeal to me. Maybe because all the ones I know right now are brainless jerks.
