It won't stop the binge drinking...kids are drinking in Jr. High......I just don't think 18 is old enough to legally drink.....and I also don't think it is old enough to die for your country...so if they were to change the legal drinking age back to 21, I feel that they should raise the age for a male to be in combat to 21, also.

All it would do is increase the amount of underage drinking.
Binge drinking, in the UK anyway, is caused by the major supermarkets policy of "pile it high, sell it cheap" on alcohol, not (as claimed by many) the changes in pub licensing laws so it is there that legislation needs to be aimed.
These places seem to be a lot less vigilant on underage alcohol sales than the pubs, who can lose thier whole business if closed down - the major stores can get by if they lose a store or two's alcohol sales.
