Question: the inside lane the one closest to the pavement or the one closest to the middle of the road??

Answers: the inside lane the one closest to the pavement or the one closest to the middle of the road??

It's really sad, not only do so many people have it wrong, the right answer got a thumbs down. The term inside lane is one of the universal terms in driving.

It is kerb side, or curb side, and is considered the slow lane. This page will link you to many sites validating the term. http://www.google.com.sg/search?hl=en&q=...

it depends if the pavement on is the right or left side.

Closest to the middle of the road is my guess.

Inside lane, closest to the curb..

its the middle

It's just in the middle.

inside=middle.

The Inside Lane is closest to the pavement (curb).

The Outside Lane is closest to the middle of the road
