If someone said to you "I think I'm having a mental meltdown," wha!

Question: Time to go see the Doc and tell him what you're feeling. It's not wrong to ask for help, it's a step in the right direction. He/she will decide what is the best course of treatment for you. Lots of luck.

I would say "what do you mean?" You may want to suggest counseling or meds to this person.

Just relax. We all have been through it. Unless its...the real thing...then go get help

"It gets easier after the first time."

I'd ask the person why he/she thought that & offer to talk about it. Once I found out why, I could give further advice -either to not let it get to him/her so much, or to get some professional help if it was really serious.

I take them seriously and never say, "Don't worry, we all have bad times and things will get better." Denying their feeling never works, and usually makes the person feel worse.

I have no friends, but if I did, I'd sit down and serve as a sounding board. Sometimes, just airing out your feelings to a friend helps resolve the problem. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest professional treatment. Left untreated, depression can become very serious.
