Question: Original question misunderstood????
My earlier question was asking who mails others and thanks them for their answers.....I should add this.
The best answers in my case are the ones who make me laugh...However I generally get some good answers that are not quite so funny but still get my attention....So I mail and thank them...Obviously not all of them but certainly a few...

Yes it happens with my questions.
In general though I am misunderstood.
For instance some people think I'm condescending & abrupt. As if!
Actually, I've often seen the first answer to any given question get more "Best Answer" selections than any other...
But I do have my original question misunderstood quite often. Especially when the answers start to get out of control and totally off topic.
i never mail others, but add a bit in the best answer bit to the user that gave in my eyes the best answer

when i get a good answer i think it is common courtesy to say thanks
not sure how many are mis-understood, unless it is the ones that say Y/A violation! sometimes, i ask a Q, just out of pure curiousity, and some people get soooo weird, just look at my Q about wal-mart being the great satan! look first at polls and surveys, then go to business-corporations, and check out the totally different answers i am getting! Oh, sam, great beelezebub, please rise, and show the morons that run/shop at your store, the pathway to hell!

I call it 2D conversation, obviously we don't get the space to elaborate on our meanings, so what the other person sees is a 2D interpretation which can quite easily be misunderstood. It's handy to be able to chat in this way, but problems do occur.
First answers to a question may get huge amounts of votes because there are people out there that are just notching up points by voting, therefore the first answer gets the vote because they cant be bothered to read the rest...

I sometimes mail people to say thanks, or just hello :) If ive put a joke on then i just randomly pick a best answer but if it's a serious question then i choose the most informative answer.
