I wouldn't go into any of those lakes with all that pollution. I grew up in Cleveland, and lived in Chicago for a time, so I'm most familiar with Lake Erie and Lake Michigan

No I haven't.
I live in Michigan and I frequent Mackinac and Traverse City every year. I have been up to Whitefish Point and have gone on the Pictured Rocks tour on Lake Superior. That lake is both amazing and frightening - we had a fog come in and we couldn't see an inch in front of us for nearly an hour. It was awesome!!
I've only driven around them never stopped to take a dunk.

All of them. I'm lucky enough to live in Michigan and I've vacationed in Toronto and New York. I'm approximately a 45 minute drive from Lake Michigan, so I've been in that one the most.

Well,,, I boat and swim at Clarks Hill here in Augusta Ga... It would be a mud hole compared to a real Great Lake... But it works for us...
