He's announced that he is resigning.
It's the appropriate action. He violated the public's trust by engaging in illegal activity, and protocol dictates forfeiting his leadership position.
No moralizing here. Frankly, I think prostitution should be legalized. But until then, it's a crime, and a government leader -- particularly a major one like a governor -- should not be partaking of it.

he's just a typical politician who happened to get caught. if he should be made to resign, then so should almost every other politician. it's in a politicians nature to lie. i dont get why everyone was so surprised he is no different. im sick of hearing about it really.
I think he must've made someone awful angry. I refuse to believe that he is the only politician who has engaged in activity with an escort service or cheated on his wife. As you can see Bill Clinton did it too and he didnt lose his job or presidential retiree benefits when that scandal came out in the open. Originally the senator refused to step down and I wasnt really all that mad at him. I am not disputing the moral responsibility that politicians have but I also believe that they are human and that he is paying for other actions that "someone" is not happy with.
He did resign, because he knew he would be impeached if he didn't, and he should. He's showed he's a man of low moral character and can not be trusted. In my opinion, he's a low-life, a scum-bucket.
I'm glad that he chose to resign because by paying for sex, he let down his family and his responsibilities in his position.

Actually, his hiring hookers is an issue between him and his wife. He used his own money, did it on his own time, and had the discretion to do it out of town. Wild Bill did it on MY time, at work, and didn't even pay to clean the dress.
I don't like the man, his politics, or his ideas. I'm glad he's out. But that doesn't make it right.
Yes It was a Good Idea He Resigned Because He fell from Grace since he was a Hero for Consumer Going against the Corporations, Firms and So Forth, He obviously should have known better then to have Sex with Minors, and its Disappointing to see that happen to such a Good Leader of the People of State of New York.

He has no formal charges against him the last I heard, so he should try to hang on. Innocent until proven guilty the last I heard.
