Survey: Do you think geneticist should stop mixing dog breeds?!
Question: Actually... mutts usually are more resilient than purebreds... Purebreds have a lot of inbreeding to keep the traits of their breed. Inbreeding always makes for weak genetics and shorter lifespans.
Also, it isn't really geneticists that are mixing breeds, it is dog breeders. They ARE using genetics but dog breeders have a different criteria for what qualities they are choosing to isolate and make more prominent in the new breed of dog.

As a mixed breed, I say no. They will not trying to create the perfect species. They truly believe they are helping humanity.
I suppose that ideal is "truly" all that matters.
