Linkin Park fans - am I the only one dissapointed with Minutes To Midnight?!
Question: I mean, Minutes To Midnight is still pretty good, it's just got nothing on Meteora and Hybrid Theory. They lost the energy. Sometimes I even find it hard to listen to M2M. I know that sounds horrible, especially when you consider that they are far and away my favourite band, but this is the way it is for me.
Aside from these songs:
1) Given Up
2) Bleed It Out
3) What I've Done
4) No More Sorrow
And to some extent "Hands Held High", "In Pieces", and "The Little Things Give You Away", I can't bring myself to listen to much of the album to completion. Meteora and Hybrid Theory I can listen to right through, but for M2M I just can't sometimes.
I much prefer their other, energetic, heavy sound as opposed to this new soft-rock, poppish, sound. They obviously haven't lost their individual talents, but they are just putting it together differently...

Yes i completly agree i have only played like album like 5 or six times sofar..im just not that into it. I think its the rawness of it and more screaming involved. It sounds more like a first album that they would do not their latest. I prefer Meteora and Hyrid Theory ALOT more. I played those two albums to death. there is more emotion and more of a story to both of those albums.

I loved MTM, it was different. I'm glad to see the band mature and move on. Would you honestly still like LP if they stuck with their Meteora/Hybrid Theory sound? Album after album, sounding repetitive? LP is my favorite band because they are original. They aren't afraid to speak out and be different. Just look at "Hands Held High". LP has gone political!
I'm proud of LP.
They did a good job with MTM.

well, i only became a fan when minutes to midnight came out. but then when i listened to the others at first i didnt like hybrid theory. but i instantly loved meteora then minutes to midnight. but i still like it. but then again, i still listen to the others then this one. i dont listen to M2M soo.... but it was sooo weird. its more like slow songs. not like loud like by myself. i still love all their songs but minutes to midnight is soooooo different from the others. imagine the next one...

At first I was and only liked those songs that you listed. But I made myself listen to it over n over again. i just couldnt believe that i was disappointed. Now my favorite songs (also) are In Pieces, Little things give you away, Shadow of the Day, and Leave out all the rest. and well sometimes In Between. yeah so that pretty much makes the whole cd. Im happy with it now. I know its different but I can still see a lil of their old stuff. Idk how to explain sorry.
