hot chocolate works just as well
sutter home white merlot will nip it in the bud
Honey....
yes...it soothes~
tea is good for you, hun--especially sage. Honey, liccorice, marshmallows (believe it or not!)
Hot honey & lemon... Works miracles!!!
Drinking anything warm will help the soar throat. I also reccomend cough drops, or even lolipops. Anything to coat the trhoat in saliva. And you know, you can MAKE tea taste good. Just add LOTS of honey and sugar.

Hot water, salt, honey, 2 cheap asprin (it will disolve), hot sauce, listerine, mix that up and use it as a gargle (DO NOT DRINK) Works wonders!
Gargling with warm salt water every two hours works wonders. . . unless it's strep. . . then you'll need antibiotic. Good Luck!
this always helped me, get some warm water in a cup, and mix in a spoonfull of salt or more, then gargle (dont swallow) until the cup is empty, it tastes crappy and its not fun to do, but it always helps my thoat, try doing it 2 times a day. once in the morning and once b4 bed.
gargle with warm salty water...that is the best way...you can even add a little asprin or tylenol if it's real bad
or get dr to call you in some Endal HD...that'll do it!
Why on earth would you want to "help" it? I'd suggest you try to get rid of it! You were kind enough to call the vet for your dog, so have your dog call your doctor for you. Ungrateful little free loaders - probably wouldn't do it.
