Why would anyone steal donuts??!
Question: Has anyone every stole food at your work?? I bought three dozen donuts for everyone here at work yesterday, put what was left at the end of the day (over half) in the fridge...I went to take them out today and they were GONE. Someone stole like 18 frickin donuts!
I get maybe taking someones sandwich, but come on! I even get someone else taking the box out before I get here for everyone to dive into...
I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem at your work with someone stealing food? In any quantity?
I think I know who it is...but I am not sure what I am going to do about it just yet.

Donuts taste good, and they're kind of expensive depending on where you get them. If it was easy for the person to get away with, then I don't know what would have stopped them aside from a good sense of right and wrong. Some people are just like that.
People eat my lunch I put in the break room fridge all the time. It angers me greatly, but there isn't much I can really do about it. I can't take food to my cubicle and I can't sit in the break room all day... soo... :-(
because they're hungry?
well, you did buy them for the office, so they really didnt technically "steal" them, sure its rude to take all of them, but not really stealing

If you think that's bad............I bought air freshener, bathroom cleaner and paper towels for the restroom I use at work......and the next day, all of it was gone out of the cabinet......grrrrrr >: (
people are strange beings and there's no explaining most of the actions, just don't let it get to you and don't buy loads of food for everyone again. If anyone asked why you can tell them.
my mom's had that problem. she works at a hotel and somebody kept stealing little bags of chips and stuf that were supposed to be for the guests.
Ya i had that happen to me before but they are all fat so....
it got me mad because i brought pizza for them and someone stole it.
We have this problem at work. We have resorted to putting gross stuff in the food in the fridge so that we get the sick satisfaction of knowing the thief has eaten it.
Happens all the time. I had a homemade burrito with green chili in a tupperware and they stole the food and the tupperware. I've caught employees and janitors taking other peoples food on a regular basis. Some people think anything in th ekitchen area is fair game.....How RUDE !!!!!!!!!!!
No one should steal anyone's food from the work place refrigerator, or even if something is sitting out on a counter.
I don't know what to say except to find the persons involved, pour gasoline on them and throw a match.
Food is something everyone needs, and to steal it, even if it's junk food, is very inconsiderate and selfish.
