i think the man deserves the money! so that he can pay to be locked away in a padded cell for the rest of his life! He is obviously a danger to himself! probably related to the American women who burned herself on hot coffee?
I think its disgusting, did you see the guy on the news last night that was in the army and got burnt severely, his compensation for that was ￡167,000, a guy slips on a grape and demands ￡300,000, hes having a laugh.

I laughed when i read this especially where it said M&S barrister said to the guy "Is it true to say you checked the bottom of your sandles before you put them on that morning to make sure you didnt have any slippery goo on them before you came shopping "
also in US woman sued the makers of her microwave oven for killing her dog because there was nothing in the instructions about not drying animals in oven she won and now all microwave instuctions say do not place animals inside
no one its gone up again its all these ambulance chasers that are around i was in a car accident a year ago my fault and the guy in the other car was not hurt the next day i had a letter off an ambulance chaser that was before i had the letters from the insurance company then they harassed me for 3 weeks after even tho my insurance company told them not too

Yes I read this article earlier. All supermarkets have a duty of care to ensure health and safety is paramount at all times. The question is, does it justify a claim of ￡300,000 for the injury that he sustained. In my view with the experience I have had it would be extremely difficult to claim such a vast amount and in view of this I think that he would lose his battle in court regarding the sum he is hoping to achieve. However, as the supermarket were deemed as negligent in this case I reckon that he will be awarded compensation but he probably won't receive even 10% of what he is trying to pursue.
He needs concrete evidence to prove that the grape he slipped on was on M&S premises and if he cannot prove that without reasonable doubt the judge could finally dismiss the case with no grounds for compensation.

Pretty disgusting...problem is we are the people that pay for all these handouts in the end. When one sees the little compensation victims of crime receive and also the soldiers this is insane. I was furious when deadbeat actress Lesley Ash received a ￡5 million payout when others get next to nothing. The law is an ***!
The world has gone sue happy!! Can you imagine if every person who ever scrapped their knee was able to sue! Depression give me a break! We have a guy here that is suing the city for harassment he claims they were racial towards him. It being going on for years he claims he is depressed.Everyone I know that works for the city says he was a little weird and that what he says is unfounded.Everybody would joke around with each other which happens a lot in the work place but apparently he didn't like to join in so he's suing.He will probably get all his back pay and compensation while sitting on his @rse for years. I call the lawyers who handle these case ambulance chasers.What can you do! As long as the counts allow this kind of behavior there will be another. As a tax payer I'm totally disillusioned by it all. A new law should be passed to disallow these stupid claims. ?
