Question: i did have a cracking collection of futba programmes... mostly united...full seasons from 1976 to 1986, loads of away ones, cup finals, semis, away european games. I also had a few FA cup finals, english european ties, scotland games... about five hundred in all.
I gave them to my nephew, but i doubt he looked after them properly and don't know where they are now.

I collect tickets, and they are of all kinds, tickets to concerts, rugby match tickets and railway tickets.
I only do it so I have a memoir of where I've been in my life, even if it's just goign on the train to have a day out shopping.

Actually twoges......you collect something because you have a passion for it, and you do not just have to look at some of those things you can use them......as for the ones you look at....you display them and that alone is satisfying to the person who collects it, and might I add, i get alot of compliments on things I collect...they are like conversation pieces...parts of me!
Call me materialistic if you want to, but I love all the things I collect and they mean something to me. My kids, friends and family enjoy them too!
My swords are awesome and always bring up conversation and awe!
As for the nesting dolls, ugly dolls, marbles ect.....my kids get a kick out of them and use them for fun!
The really expensive stuff like stamps coins, ect is informational and we all enjoy that too...a part of history I believe.
Dvd's, cd's, ect...who doesn't love those?
As for the cultural items, great to show kids things from different countires and learn about them and how life is there, especially when it is a part of their heritage!

it's all personal...to each his own! Just a lot to clean up after, dusting ect. but if displayed in enclosed glass cases, it's not too bad.
I don't collect anything. What do you do with a collection? Look at it and then what? They never have made much sense to me. I am not materialistic.
